San Jose police sniffed out the “Broken Nose Bandit,” busting a suspect Friday in the midst of a quickening and brazen spree in which five local banks were robbed.

The “Broken Nose Bandit” struck another financial institution Thursday morning - the second in less than 24 hours and the fifth time in less than a month, police said.
