Diego A. Perez, of New Orleans, and David C. Battenberg, of Metairie, Louisiana, were both charged with conspiring to distribute quantities of heroin and cocaine hydrochloride. The charges stem from an FBI investigation that was initiated after the heroin overdose death of a 16-year-old female.
